I will explain how to get from Kansai Airport to Namba Station by train after returning from Finland this time. Trains on both the JR line and the Nankai Electric Railway run from Kansai Airport. The following is how to use them.
【Nankai】
Direct from the airport to Namba Station. No transfers. The ride takes about an hour.
【JR line】
Transportation from the airport to Tennoji Station or Umeda Station. It takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour to reach Tennoji Station. And 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes to reach Umeda Station. The presence of transfers and travel time varies depending on the train.
Transportation from Kansai Airport Terminal 1 to Namba Station.
After arriving at Kansai Airport, please go up to the second floor after leaving the departure gate (sorry, there are no photos here). Then, exit the airport. Kansai Airport station is on the other side of the passage.
Head towards the station as indicated by the signs.
Once you arrive at the station, please purchase your ticket from the Nankai ticket vending machine. Be careful not to mistake it for the JR ticket vending machine.
Pass through the ticket gate of the Nankai.
Take the escalator or elevator to get down to the platform. Since this is the starting station, you will arrive at Namba Station no matter which train you take. Please board a train that is stopped at the platform.
It takes approximately 18 stations and about an hour to reach Namba Station, the final destination. There are no transfers from Kansai Airport Station, the starting point, to Nankai Namba Station, the final destination. It’s easy because you won’t make a mistake getting on the wrong train or accidentally passing through a station.
