【UMEDA】Near Ritz Carlton Umeda Lunch at a prestigious Japanese restaurant. Recommended is rice with sea bream and dashi._禅園(Zenen)

umeda

We will introduce Japanese restaurants that are close to the Ritz-Carlton Umeda and Herbis. A prestigious Japanese restaurant is quietly operating in the basement of an area lined with hotels and offices. You can eat all kinds of Japanese food such as ”sashimi”, “tempura”, and “tonkatsu”. All meals are served as a set meal with rice as the main dish. The most recommended is “Tai Chazuke”=” rice with sea bream and dashi”.

Exterior of the restrant

At first glance, it looks like you might be nervous to enter, but during lunch time the restaurant is packed with office workers and housewives. There’s a menu with photos right at the entrance, so you don’t have to worry.

Recommended is “rice with sea bream and dashi”

My most recommended dish is the Tai Chazuke set meal. “Chazuke” is a dish made by pouring dashi soup over rice and is a common people’s dish. When you eat it with Japan’s high-quality sea bream on top, it becomes a prestigious Japanese dish.

“Tai chazuke gozen” 00

Rice,Sea bream sashimi (sesame sauce),Tempura (fish, pumpkin, eggplant, shishito pepper),Simmered dishes (vegetables simmered in soup stock and soy sauce),Soba,Pickled cucumber,Pickles (traditional fermented food). 2200 yen is cheap for such a large amount!!

HOW TO EAT “Tai chazuke”

You can eat the main sea bream three times in different ways.

➀Eat sea bream as is Soy sauce is the standard seasoning for sashimi, but here it is topped with sesame sauce.

②Put the sea bream on rice and eat. Eat sea bream sashimi with sesame sauce on rice. This sesame sauce has an elegant and rich taste.

③Pour the soup stock over the rice with the sea bream on top and eat. At the end, pour the soup stock from the pot and eat. This soup stock is very delicious, and it doesn’t lose to the rich sesame sauce. In addition, the sea bream is cooked a little rare by pouring the dashi soup over it, giving it a strong flavor.

A message is written on the pot. “We recommend pouring the hot soup stock over your rice. If it gets cold, please let the staff know so we can replace it.” I was eating slowly, so by the time I poured the soup, it had cooled down, so I asked her to replace it. did. The staff’s customer service is also polite.

The pork cutlet is also delicious.

You can choose between the standard sauce and ponzu sauce for the tonkatsu. I chose the standard sauce. The pork was tender and as delicious as a specialty restaurant. I’m sure that whatever you order from this restaurant will be delicious. Please look for your favorite menu.

The atmosphere inside the restrant is also strict.

On this day, I entered the store alone, so I was guided to the counter. There were many women and office workers who came alone. The lighting is not too bright, so you can enjoy your meal in peace. There were also many types of Japanese sake available.

Lunch is reasonably priced, but dinner seems a little pricey. I’ll post an article sometime when I have dinner!

Restrant Location

t is located on the second basement floor of Herbis Plaza. It is a short walk from the Ritz-Carlton Osaka and Nishi-Umeda Station. There is plenty of seating inside, but due to its popularity, we recommend avoiding lunch time. I was able to enter the store right after it opened or before 2 o’clock without lining up.
