In front of this izakaya, there is a large lantern with the words “Seafood-only restaurant with affordable prices” written on it. I have been curious about it for a while. It is very popular during dinner hours, with long queues forming. However, according to reviews, the lunch is luxurious, so I went to investigate. The location is in the gourmet zone on the second basement floor of Umeda/Osaka Station’s Lucua. You will definitely want to go there after reading this article
Sold out every day!? Fujiko-chan set meal is luxurious and cheap
Isn’t it awesome? Don’t you want to eat it? This lunch is only 1000 yen. Unbelievable. Sashimi, simmered dishes, and side dishes are all provided in abundance, and it’s only 1000 yen. I think I might be selling it at a loss. There were other lunch menus, but many people were ordering the Fujiko-chan set meal. It seems that it is limited to 40 servings per day and is sold out every day.
The main dish is sashimi and simmered
The main dish is sashimi of tuna and sea bream, and simmered sea bream head. The storefront had a large sign that read “A store that only sells cheap seafood,” but the sashimi was fresh and very delicious. I think it needs to be rewritten as “A store that sells cheap, fresh, and delicious seafood.” In addition, it is a luxury to be able to eat both sashimi and simmered sea bream. Sea bream is a high-end fish in Japan and is eaten on special occasions. The simmered sea bream is the head part, but it is packed with meat and has a great texture. I also thought the seasoning was well balanced. I think the wakame soup was lightly flavored with soy sauce.
6 different side menus
This is a side menu. The top row, from left to right, consists of wakame=seaweed and cucumber vinegar, thick fried tofu, eggplant, and shishito pepper stew, and kelp with roe. The bottom row, from left to right, was pumpkin salad, grated long yam, and cod roe and pickled cabbage. It was great that all six dishes were provided, each of which required a lot of effort. Of course, the taste was delicious. The grated long yam in the center of the bottom row is not eaten as it is, but is seasoned with a little soy sauce and poured over rice. I ate the cod roe with rice little by little because it was spicy.
location of Izakaya
The restaurant is located on the second basement floor of the commercial facility LUCUA near Umeda Station. The Fujiko-chan set meal introduced in this article is limited to 40 servings, so it is recommended to visit the restaurant during the early lunch hours. When I arrived 10 minutes before the weekday opening time, there were already 5 groups of people waiting in line.

The main store is that Izakaya in Tennoji
In fact, this izakaya is a franchise, and the main store is located in Tennoji. The main store is called “Stand Fuji,” and it’s a restaurant that I love so much that I go there often. I have posted an article about dinner at the main store in the past, so please take a look. It’s the best izakaya with cheap and delicious seafood. Both stores had almost the same menu, but please note that the Fujiko-chan set meal introduced this time is not available at the Tennoji store. The Umeda store has a new and clean atmosphere that is easy to enter.
