The creative deep-fried skewers restaurant that you can go to after sightseeing in Osaka Castle. It is about a 10-minute walk from Tenmabashi Station, which is the nearest station to Osaka Castle.
Osaka is famous for its Shinsekai deep-fried skewers, but we also recommend the deep-fried skewers you eat at the counter. Although it is more expensive than Shinsekai deep-fried skewers, this “五條家(Gojo-ya)” is relatively reasonable and costs 150 yen per bottle.

Courses of 25 skewers
There are up to 25 skewers courses for 150 yen per course, and it is possible to stop halfway. In addition to the standard shrimp, the menu changes depending on the season, so you can eat seasonal ingredients. In summer, eels, corn, etc. were served. There were also takoyaki and quiche skewers as unusual species.
The deep-fried skewers are brought one by one, freshly fried. You can carefully explain the ingredients and recommend eating methods such as salt and sauce. It’s fun to have unexpected combinations of ingredients. It is a fried dish, but it is light. It is so delicious that I finish eating 25 bottles in no time. If you are full along the way, tell them, “Please finish with the next dish.”
Beware of burns
All deep-fried skewers are carried freshly fried, so be careful not to burn yourself. If you get burned from the first one, your tongue will continue to tingle after that.
Book in advance
It is a popular restaurant, so reservations are required. I booked from the phone number listed on the official website. I contacted them a week ago, but I was able to make a reservation right away, probably because it was a weekday. Please note that there is also a kushikatsu shop with the same name in Nishinakajima.
